2018 Barolo DOCG Rocche dei Manzoni

An extremely elegant Barolo from a semi-modernist producer. Open and inviting bouquet with notes of red cherries, leather and tobacco. The taste is super dense and complex with notes of many different berries from the forest, as well as secondary notes from barrel ageing. The structure of the wine is powerful with high tannin and fruit acid, which means that the wine must be decanted if it is to be drunk before it is 20 years old.

The wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo harvested from several different fields in Monforte d™Alba. Today, the grapes are grown organically to bring out the most finesse and elegance in the final wine. The vineyards are planted with 4,000 vines per hectare and 45-50 hl are harvested. Per hectare. After a cold extraction of juice and juice from the skins, the wine is aged for 3 years in a combination of several sizes of oak barrels.
